    Default exhaust pipe thickness

Anyone know what the standard wall thickness is for exhaust pipes? How about exhaust manifolds? I may start experimenting on exhaust sytems, so I just wanted to know the standard. Thanks.

i dunno about the factory specs for the exhaust, but i think the BR 3" exhausts are built out of either 16ga or 18ga stainless steel. cant remember for sure, but its one of those two.

If you are looking at building tubular exhaust manifolds, the tubing needs to be thick unless you are using a stainless steel tubing for it. Schedule 40 weld els from the plumbing wholesale houses work very well for tubular manifolds.
