Default Input needed for autox build.

So I had a lot of fun at last years autocross at the shootout, and am wanting to set up my car to basically just have fun on the autocross. I drove my friends Evo that had the Buschur 2.0L with 3586, it was fun and manageable but i felt it wasn't the correct setup for the autocross.

My question is what are peoples suggestions for turbo? This is also the plans for the build to kind of give an idea of what i'll be working with. I'll put a question next to the things i'm uncertain about. I'm not looking to make an ungodly amount of power either though.

    2.3L w/ JE Pistons + ?? Rods
    Curt Brown 2g Head w/ Kelford 272's
FP Manifold (or T3 from STM pending turbo)
Turbo?? (Thinking FP Red, or PTE 5557, or ??)
    Full 3" exhaust

    Suspension yada yada yada.

Like I said just looking for something fun and to be competitive in the dsm autox class. Any input would be great.

For the best power for autocross the stroker is the best choice, we can build it for you of course and we'll use steel rods in it.
There are better cams than Kelford's. We should have our custom grind on our site here shortly.
FP red is a great choice, very good low end and still be able to run fast in the 1/4.
Yes, on the 3" full exhaust.

Why not an FP16G of some variant?

Shortage of 16g's has driven their prices up drastically, and i want something with more power than just the 16g.

My Evo had a 2.0L and the HTAGreen. On big courses, it was more than enough power. On small, tight, technical courses, I felt the setup was a little laggy and had to get on the gas way earlier in the corner to wait for the turbo to spool as I came out of the corner.

I would think with the 2.3L, the HTAGreen would be a kick ass turbo and not have the lag issues I experienced.

We have multiple cams for the 1g. One set that I prefer and am using in my own build is our BF272 grind for the EVO but for the 1g.

    You crack me up man!
American workers spend more of their day working to pay taxes than they do to feed, clothe, and house their families.
