Default P0340 Cam Sensor Code Help

Alright im at whits end trying to figure out whats wrong, back story -
I just installed fic 1250's and received and basemap from tscomp tuning, everything was going fine, car ran fine albeit a somewhat rough idle which i attributed to it being a basemap and it needed dialed in. I drove around carefully for a few days, and as i come to a stop near my apt she dies with no warning. I cant get her started up, sounds like she wants to start and almost does but dies immediately. The more i try to crank her the more fuel she spits into the motor. Well i ended up having aaa tow me home so i could pull codes etc. Ended up being a cam sensor code, so off i head to oreillys to get a new sensor. Pop the new sensor in the intake side first, clear the code and try starting her up to no avail. Ok so i think its exhaust side, so i try that and same result, and i have a jump pack hooked up the whole time im doing this and im using a friends full size battery. So i hop on evom and look around for answers and all i found was to check ground, check to see if trigger bolt is loose etc. so i do all that and nothing. So this morning i pull the plugs so i can see how much if any fuel is still in the cylinders, what i find is plugs 2 and 3 are fouled out and cylinder 1 or 4 [far right] has some fuel on the piston so i let it sit so it can evaporate. After a couple hours i put new plugs in, check the wiring and try again, same result and same code. So any advice on what to check next would be awesome

Thanks and sorry its a long read

I had the same problem, I stop at a stop sign and my car dies, I tried to restart it and it backfired then mine finally started. I took it to Advance hooked it to the computer and it said my crank and cam sensors were bad. I changed them out and my car started right away. You might need to try reading the codes again. Also did you unhook the battery for a while to reset the computer, probably wont help but worth a try.

i used ecuflash to read and clear codes, im hoping it is accurate. How hard was it to get to the crank sensor?

The crank sensor was not to bad, you will have to remove a few things, almost like doing a t-belt change but with a little less work of course.

Check to see if you get spark on 1 and 4 and check all wire connections. Line up your timing marks and make sure it didn't jump timing somehow but it does seem to be the crank sensor is at fault. It would just suck to tear the whole timing side apart if it were just something as simple as a loose connection.
