I have an evo 8 mr , mods to date are an fp green upgrade , front pipe dump pipe , 1055cc injectors boost control set up etc, remapped ecu .walbro fuel pump , whilst accelerating at low revs say 2000 rpm upwards i get a ticking sound very audible from inside the car , it is comimg from under the head from what sounds like the first or second piston .i doesnt happen while idleing only accelerating i have taken it to numerous mechanics and been told it could be a number of problems, from faulty lifters to faulty roker arms .. to date i have swapped out and upgraded both components .. lifters and arms ... and still the ticking sound persists ..my car is running very rich and blows big puffs of black smoke when boosting high ,i have spoken with numerous techies and been advised of many issues from detonation to my cam shaft being out degree, to bend rods to faulty end bearings to dud cams .... i would like some advice on what the cause could be , as i am getting sick of watching my mechanic scatch his head ................. Alternatively i have been looking at the buschur short block... Will this help my prob...
