    Default Dsm Stock Block Record

Hey guys we finally did it today at the last event of the year!!!! The road to it was tough but with great people and sponsors helping, it was bound to happen. We had been strugguling for the past few months with misfire issues and Mike (Michael Rizzotti) was nice enough to give me a hand and helped me solve the issue. After the dsm88 went out, we decided to go with the FP 3794 and it was a perfect decision because it got us over the hill and then some. I want to thank everyone involved and also our sponsors this year: Forced Performance, BC Racing, Torque Solution, Gato peformace, Fuel Injector Clinic and Jay Racing.
    First Pass off the trailer:

Here is the video of the run:

We got there around 9:45am and pulled the car off the trailer to get inspected and I noticed the car was hard to start when leaving the inspection station. I took off and headed to the lanes and the minute I got there the car shut off and would not start back up. They called the class and the car was down. I quickly raced to our trailer and grabbed an extra transistor and raced back, put it on and BAM it started right up. The official yelled becuase I was the last car and just got the car started, so I quickly put on my jacket half way and helmet and went straight to the tree. The car bogged terribly but felt great going down the track and more so than all year and then the worst happenned, I felt the motor take a hit right when I was about to let off the accelerator at the end of the track. I thought it ran good but never in a million years did I think I had ran the time. When the official came to pull the car he brought with him the slip and man what a great feeling it was to see that piece of paper. What a way to end the season. We worked very hard all year to accomplish this and finally the hard work paid off.

    Congrats on the 9.8!

(does it count as the stock block record if the block didn't hold up?)

Really?! Explain to me how that would matter when the car ran consistent low 10's and even 10.0 all year with 600+whp. Nevertheless the car will be back out soon enough and the goal is to run mid to low 9's. It was really something to see that block hold up all year and then finally give me its last bit of life on that pass and precisely the last event of the season.

Congratulations again Fernando! I was happy to help and glad to see my record fall to someone I know and respect.

How does it count as the stock block record if the block didn't hold up? Make back to back 9.8 passes, then brag.

I used to work with them back in 2002-2003 when I had the 99 blue civic si in all the videos from when they first started. That was my first car in the 10's
