Easiest thing to do is take out the rear O2 sensor and put the wideband O2 sensor there.

Won't replacing the rear o2 sensor with the wideband sensor spit an engine code? Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you want the wideband sensor as close to the turbo as possible??

Just did my AEM UEGO Wideband last night, and I wanted to offer a bit of advice. As you'll notice upon installation there is a pretty big connector you have to slide through the firewall somehow. At first, I was pretty irritated because it was hard enough finding the hole to put the vacuum line in for the boost gauge. So after much thinking I realized an easy fix. Some of you may know this already, but I wanted to try to help someone out in the future. Under the passenger side carpet, where your feet sit, there is a pretty good size hole with a rubber gromet in it. I would say about the size of a half dollar. If you pull that out you can easily fit the connector through there and cut a slit in the shape of an x and run the connector and wire right up through it so that it will seal around the wire after the connector is through. You can then just put the rubber gromet back on. At this point remove your glove, we all know how to do that, LOL...pretty simple. Then just run the wire over to the left side of the car behind the radio or wherever depending on your gauge mount and that's it! Ensure that since there is a connection being made to the sensor from the o2 sensor exposed under the car that you wrap it in electrically tape pretty religiously and zip tie it or fasten it to the underbody of the car. There are plenty of holes and such to provide easy fastening under the car. For this method i would advise that you have your bung welded into your test pipe on the right side because the hole in the floor board is about maybe a foot away which makes it so you need hardly any slack under the car that way you can use all the wire for the inside of the car to ge the gauge to the pod. Even with this you'll still have 1-2 feet of wire left. Some may think pulling the carpet back is a pain in the a$$, but it's really not. It's literrally one screw and you can pull the whole thing back enough to see the rubber gromet. Remember this is with the AEM UEGO Wideband, which also comes with a bung. I do not know about any other gauges or what ammount of wire they come with. If anyone is interested, I was going to post up pictures for future reference so let me know. I know most probably already know this, but i figured I'd write it up anyways for new comers or anyone wanted the, in my oppinion, easiest way to do it. If anyones also interested I could post up a step by step with pictures in a new thread...like i said just trying to offer a little bit of help!

If you're putting a wideband in your car, you most likely have some sort of tuning software to turn of the p0420 CEL.

Exhaust gasses move at a fairly high velocity especially at WOT. There may be a slight lag on the air fuel value but it will be very minimal.

Nice write up. That's where I ran my AEM wideband wiring.

True...I just wasnt sure if he was planning on getting a tune to erase that.. Thanks for the props on the right up...I dont honestly see why you would run the wire anywhere else when it's that easy and there is so much room behind the dash that you can practically hand the wire over to the other side of the radio by hand haha.

I have an AEM UEGO wideband I recently installed but no tuning software... Anyways, on the passanger side there is an area on the exhaust that has a wide open area, I was told it is an excellent spot to weld the bung. This is where I welded mine in. If you don't have a welder to do this ask around, MAYBE someone will help you out. I have all the tools needed, a garage and more than willing to help anyone out on anything.
