    Update from us.

BR oil pan is on with new oil you left.

    Stock boost controller is on.

    BR 02 housing is installed.

All A/C components under the hood have been removed along with the A/C parts inside. We left the heater, you race in the rain and when it's cold, you'll want to defrost the windows and stay warm.

Also found some fairly major problems. Someone has a hole nearly knocked through your radiator from hitting it against the turbo, it's not leaking but doesn't look good. The lower passenger side radiator mount was completely missing and the upper was incorrect. Both have been replaced with the correct new parts.

Planning on hitting the dyno again, possibly tomorrow.

    Do you own scales?

Great news on all the installs! I was hoping the new BOV would be in and it'd make it to the dyno this week. Sounds like that's on schedule perhaps.

The radiator... installed by a non-Evo shop - whom helped me rebuild the car back in 2008. I've seen the dent, wasn't sure how bad it was or could become. If it's going to be an issue; let me know what you think. Little things like this; noticing inadequate parts and proactively replacing them - that's what I love about the good shops! And it's very rare to find, trust me. I appreciate it guys!

Lastly; no I don't own any scales. I know what it weighed last season and I have kept track of everything I've removed so far. If there's a way you guys could weigh what was removed; that'd be awesome!

Yes, the new Synapse BOV is also installed. There is a GTR on our dyno now, as soon as it's done I'll be getting your car back on. The radiator is marginal but if it's been holding like that then it may just be fine. The dent is huge and deep though, I'd say run it and keep an eye on it.

I can weigh the entire car when I'm done. The parts that were removed are in the trunk. If I weigh the entire car I can get you corner weights too. Better idea I think.

    GTR - Sweet!

Weigh it - and write down all 4 corner weights; that'd be great. Leave the spare tire in there; I've been using it for ballast!

Talked to Dave a few times this week regarding the car. He came to the realization that we needed to switch out a few more parts to optimize the tune and in the end it needed more fuel to hit the #'s we wanted. Anyways, it's all done now. I don't know the exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure it dyno'd > 350whp.
Keep in mind that's stock bottom end, cams, turbo, etc. Mainly FMIC, intake, exhaust & tuning on 100oct.

Planning to pick up the car from Buschur tomorrow. 1000 mile roundtrip!

Sounds like one of my 1K mi trips to BR...but it's worth it if you want it done right.

Pushing it hard at about 27psi - it squeezed out about 360whp & 350wtq.
At a more reasonable 23psi where I'll probably run it; it's still about 350whp - but minus the spool-up torque.
    Tuned on 100oct (not pump).

Looking back at my notes, our baseline was 322whp @ 26psi.

Weight was 3075 with 3/4 tank and no driver. I've got the box of A/C parts that was removed, and I'll weigh it to get a specific weight of what Buschur removed.

    Thursday 2/9/12
Took off after work to get the car. Drove about 5hrs and stopped for the night. Nothing special (thankfully). Watched some B-Ball and got the weather forecast for the next day which was some lake effect snow.

    Friday 2/10/12
Got up at 5:45am ET, showered, coffee & muffin and on my way. Got to Buschur's about 10am ET. I believe the total from work was 7:15 and 470 miles. Only person I knew was David so I met everyone slowly, grabbed my trailer; loaded up the car and got my dyno sheets after talking with David for a bit.

About 11am ET I was packed up and on my way. I decided to take a different direction home - avoid lake-effect snow, avoid the tollroads with the trailer and get some new scenery to hopefully help keep me awake. I was also curious it the overall time was comparable. The crappy part was the first hour or so was all 2-lane. I did drive past the Mansfield prison (aka Shawshank) which I was lucky enough to tour during NASA Nationals last fall. Shortly after that I hit the interstate and after my GPS re-calced it told me about 15min longer this direction which I was fine with.
12:30pm ET - stop for gas, food - and it started to snow! Great. It wasn't collecting but it was sure causing some visibility issues. Snow came and went really.

Crossing into Indiana the weather cleared up; then got worse towards dusk. Had some sleet for a bit but really no ice which I was more worried about.

I passed through Indy about 4pm ET - fortunately traffic wasn't too bad. The bypass was busy but the weather wasn't bad at this point so that was good. This is about the half-way point for me.
Had a fuel stop just before Indy, so a restroom stop afterwards along with some much needed water (bought a gallon; drank half) to try and cancel out all the soda I'd drank all day to stay alert was in order. Started getting dark as I got back to IL and the weather got crappy again. My last stop was a rest area around 6pm CT and you can see the fun below. The last 1.5 hrs there was a 28mph headwind that actually made it difficult to maintain speed! I seen my mpg drop about 1.5-2 mpg just in this stretch alone!

I got home just before 7pm CT. Exhausted and very hungry. Total trip counter below. Just over 7hrs there - much faster with no trailor! The truck also crossed over 30,000; only 1.5 yrs old too (stupid Virginia truck; that story HERE...)

    Default Maintenance time!

Now that I've got the car back, things need to start moving pretty fast. I had the car teched last week, so it's got it's annual tech inspection for NASA TT (no waiting in line; ever). This week I was able to finally get it off the trailer and parked in the garage where I can begin the needed work. The pic above is from Monday in my garage. I've got a pretty long list of annual maintenance items including the brakes, semi-annual fluids, aero work, interior work, etc.

Last night I got the car up on jackstands, pulled the tires off, pulled the rotors off and pulled the calipers off. New parts going back in! I've done this stuff enough I have all the needed tools & wrenches memorized (is that sad?).

    Old:

Comparison. My calipers I have been running compared to a used set I picked up that will be going back on. I'll then redo all the seals in the older set, clean them up and keep them around for spares. Thus is the circle of life!

New. Going back on are PowerSlot Cryo treated slotted and directionally veined front rotors. Whew. These are produced by stoptech and I've used them for awhile, although this is my first go-round with the Cryo treatment. I'm hoping the little extra scratch helps them last longer. I think I went through 3 sets of rotors last year.
Yet to be done here are dropping in new Hawk DTC-60's and a full fluid flush with AMSOIL DOT4.

It's been stock up until this year. I had Buschur upgrade it to their own baffled oil pan:
