Default STM's Project "Ultimate Street Evo?"

Emery has always wanted an RS. He would like to drive this to the 2012 DSM Shootout, run a 9.50, and drive home, still keeping creature comforts such as A/C, radio and, you know, interior parts.

This RS will be his personal daily driver, so there are no customers to please, no wife to please () and no one to tell him not to do something. This is his way all day.

I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out!

We'd like to thank some of the shops and sponsors we already have on board with this project:

Follow the build on STM's Facebook

Here's what she used to look like:

    And the interior:

Now that most of the destruction is done, here's some "before."

    And "after."

Slowly getting the red stuff off.

    Tore out all the wiring!

    Nice Evo IX seats:

They are a *bit* wide, and this will likely not be the final product. Emery has something else in mind.

    Ceramics.

    New radio.

Brand new OEM lights. (Get your own here)

Torque Solution Stubby Antenna (Get your own here)

Old in-cabin filter vs new (Get your own here)

New power steering reservoir (Get your own here)

And here's the current interior mess.

Should have some updated interior tomorrow!

Nice! I didn't know this was the white EVO parked next to mine in Fayetteville. This should be an interesting build for sure.

Can you sell me a IX carbon fiber dash panel? Or point me in the right direction on where you found yours, or is it a dealership only part. Thanks.

    ^^ Nice!

We got the carbon fiber trim panels used, but we CAN get them new from Mitsu, but I believe the price was outrageous. I'll have Brian look it up again and let you know!

Having a hard time finding the carbon panels on Mitsu Caps... I guess just keep an eye our for IX part out's. That's how we get ours.

    Thanks Dave, Nick and Jarrod!

Sweet build, but every time I read the title I hear Ron Burgandy reading the title " Ultimate Street Evo?"

Did you do anything to seal the tail lights from moisture?

Nothing different to the taillights. I had a set in my Evo, rain, salt, snow, hot, cold... never had a problem.

I think the front wheels stick out too much. But the interior is almost back to normal
