Default Happy Halloween from STM. 2011 Evo Pumpkin

Took a couple days worth of sketching, then about 12 hours of transferring and carving. I got a little ambitious. The front grill started caving in early. I shouldn't have carved all the way through, but other than that, it went pretty smooth

    Mine sucks compaired to you

Do you use a dremel or something along those lines? I had to use the cheap little pumpkin carving knife that comes in those kits you buy.

Looks great. I always like looking at the ones you do.

    Awesome!
I've yet to do a pumpkin this year but it will suck in comparison to yours.

    ^^ SPAM!!!

Shawna, can you use a trimmed tooth pick to prop the grille up from the inside?

A toothpick would have worked fine. I didn't notice it when I took the pictures, but by the time I got to posting them, I wasn't going to retake them. Usually some clear pumpkin guts can make a good prop.

I used the crappy knives that come in the plastic pumpkin carving kits. I did experiment with an exacto blade... it was a bit more tedious, but SO much more control!

Next year I'll use all exacto and take off only the top layer of orange... then I'll have full control!!

    Can't wait till next year!
