I was thinking foam pits should do it...imagine the BR guys in da foam! LOL

On a serious note, the event probably just needs to be advertised more on different places maybe.

Alright, I've added a FWD specific class like you asked for Eric. You guys start copy and pasting the event all over the other boards you are on so we can get this thing to grow.

Keep the comments coming and I will add as I think they will work out.

honestly like 8thwonder said more advertising.... possibly get in contact with some Major other brand shops yourself dave and try to get them to bring a big following of their customers and shop cars.. i always hear good things from my honda buddys about slowmotion in columbus if u contacted their owner or whatever maybe they could get some promotion going and get some of their cars up to norwalk for the event...... something along those lines.... contact Titan perhaps maybe get more supras out here...... or try to get with a big group of gtr guys and get them to come?? just an idea

I'm inclined to agree with blue64tsi..... even if he no longer owns a blue tsi.... anyway back to the point. Every year I try to put the word out there to as many car people as I can, either at car shows or through the dealership I work at. Nine times out of ten they have never even heard about it. I know the thought is to have people copy and paste onto other forums to brew interest, but I don't think that's cutting it. I think the idea of reaching out to other sport compact companies like slowmotion and titan is brilliant. If we can pull in their customer base then we are increasing the appeal. I feel most people see it as a Pre-DSM/Evo shootout- mini shootout. Maybe get in touch with the Summit Racing Retail Store to see if you can get some fliers or a poster up in there. With the traffic that goes through those doors you are bound to generate some interest from that. Lastly more magazine advertisement. I know that option would be far from cheap but how many millions of people get car magazines every month. So get some print adds and see what kind of buzz that generates.

What kind of turnout do you get for the quick class? May be willing to make the drive if there is competition to race.

Last year there were two 8 second cars in Quick. This year I know there will be more of them as we are entering a few ourselves.

Hello all, im new to the forum. Had a few questions.. A dsm buddy of mine actually showed me this. Im from pittsburgh Pa, so this isnt too far for me.. I would love to bring my neon down and hopefully run some 11's, but before i make the trip out, i want to know if this is going by the " nhra rulebook" ( wanting to run the fwd class with slicks). For instance, i have a non oem seatbelt ( crow 5 point) But its out of date.. I also have things such as a non vented battery without a cutoff in the trunk ( i can fix this before then if necessary. ) Small things such as this. Nothing is " rigged" on the car and its built properly. I just saved a few dollars by not buying a new 5 point and thing along those lines..

Also, for mid to low 11's, do i need a helmet?

Sorry for the dumb questions, i normally run at quaker city and they dont check anything lol.

All you need is a helmet and long pants.
