i havent driven the car in about 3 months. i took it out of the garage and drove it up to work. so yesterday i took this guy for a ride... scared the shit out of him lol. i pull back into work, park it and let it run for a few mins in the parking lot to cool down.
later on in the evening i go to pull it into the shop and click.... click.... click! push the car in and rack it. this morning i remove the starter and it looks like the starter went for a ride on the flywheel! you've got to be shitting me
so i text awd mike. mike says hes out and this seems to be the norm with these things lately. so now i am thinking if this is the case i aint spending $480 on a new starter from mitsu with a 1 year warranty. so i start checking around auto part stores to get a life time warranty starter, and guess what... THEY CANT EVEN GET 1
so into further research 8's have a different starter from the 9's? 8's cost $200 and 9's are $480!!! are you fuckin kidding me?!?!?!
what is different in the 2 starters? block or trans different somehow. i mean if i have to call buschur and spend $500 i will. but if the 8 will work i will get that. eitherway i will use dei starter heat wrap on the new 1.
