    Default compressor surge help or advice

    hello guys i have this situation that bothers me at some point i have a hyundai acent 1.5 turbo right now my car is at 18 psi of boost so here is the deal when i try to increase boost to 20psi or more my cars starts to make compressor surge and thats not good i want to increase boost but the surge do not let me what can i do to solve that problem some people told me to minimize the size of the cold side wich is the compressor what do you guys think??

    What turbo are you using and do you have any mods?
    93tsi awd. 6-bolt swap, hks turbo timer, safc2, suspension techniques sway bar, kyb agx's, tein springs, ingalls camber correction kit, walbro 255, 680cc injectors, adjustable fpr, ported evo3 manifold, ported big 16g, hallman pro rx, arp studs & steel gasket, web racing cams, hks cam gears, egr block off, 2.5" buschur 02 housing, 2.5 full exhaust, buschur front mount, tial blow off, gm 3" mas with converter, ss clutch line, act 2600.

    I'm doubting that its compressor surge since surge is when you are under boost, take your foot off the gas which closes the throttle body, and you dont have a blow off valve to release the built up pressure that the turbo is trying to keep compressing. I'd say what is happening from what you listed is that you dont have an intercooler and you are intake charge is getting too hot. Thats all that I can really think of unless your fuel system isnt up to the task of that much airflow.

    sounds like an airflow situation.. either mas or ecu or something is running over and its studdering.. or your blowing out your spark?
