Sorry, I'm a bit behind on updates! We did make it to the shootout, but Eddie needs some seat time before heading down the track.
I snapped a few pics while it was on the dyno. The car was tuned very low-key for driveability. Not time to push it yet. Made 450 HP and sounds great! Pump gas for now. We are working on making some kind of twin-pump set-up, and I believe we will eventually be smelling E85.
For now, he's pretty happy to have his car back... apparently it was pretty sick, as D-Sport Magazine decided to take a few pics of their own :sneaky:
And it seems like it was pretty popular at the DSM Shootout!
I can't wait to get this thing to a nice location for real pics!!
I'll keep you up to date when things change!
That thing is Bad!
i cant tell you how jealous of this car i am.. iv been keeping up with it on facebook

On pump gas 93 octane, we sent Eddie on his way for a few weeks to get used to the car, feel for the clutch and generally accept 450 HP!
But the time has come to start modding again. We tested out the new Walbro 400 LPH on this 2g, as well as swapped out the 93 and switched over to E85.
The Walbro pump performed very respectably, maxing out at 35 psi and making 588 HP and 482 TQ! Since dyno numbers are so hard to judge, for reference, Cory's Evil TSI 2g was running 10.3 at about 450 HP.
STM will release an install kit for the 2g shortly, so keep an eye out for that.
Here's the dyno graph from today:
In the future, this DSM can take more fuel and certainly more power! The stock 1g intake manifold is still limiting as well, but for now... I believe just under 600 HP will be more than fun on the streets!

And a quick video of one of the pulls.
Awesome! such a nice 2 gen
New numbers coming soon!

What size injectors are in this car?
I know it doesn't pay to give up too many tricks of the trade. But can you tell me what type of metal I would buy if I wanted to make one of those tubular radiator supports?
Afterthought: I'm not sure if the car could benefit from this or not, but a velocity stack mounted on the outside of the front bumper to guide the air into the turbo would really set the car off looks wise. I know BLOX makes a black aluminum and polished stack with a 4" connector.
I think it would look dope if you set it up like this...

Two questions:
1) Who's motor mounts?
2) Who's battery tray?
Car is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
