    Default Fuel tank seal fixes?

What kind of fixes do people do for the 1g awd fuel tank when some of the studs for the sending unit are gone? A lot of them on mine were gone when I got it and I don't think its keeping good pressure in the tank. Any ideas on easy you have heard of or done yourself?

    thx Jansen

I actually used a different method. I saw that one -- and didnt like the idea of foreign goo or random studs in my tank.

I broke off all the studs on purpose. I then drilled each hole just under the size of the sheet metal screws I had on hand. What I did to catch the junk was put the top of a spray paint can in the gas tank and hold it with my other hand upside down -- drill "into" it and pull out and dump out shit.

Start to finish takes about 10 mins. Nothing to fall in your tank. Nothing to corrode. Just use good SS sheet metal screws and dont over tighten them. Perfect seal every time.
