    Cool Import vs Domestic Shootout?????

As I sat at home this weekend, not racing at the Import Shootout, I REALLY missed having my Evo. A buddy of mine still went and watched, and we got to BSing about the event (and all events in general) in the garage. I know I am not the only one to bounce back and forth between "domestic" and "import" cars. I can name off atleast a dozen people that have mustangs, corvettes, vipers, etc. that used to go to these kind of events when they owned their Evos, Supras, WRXs, etc.

I know if I didn't own a domestic right now I wouldn't be writing this post, but really even stepping out of the situation looking from the outside in, a domestic vs import shootout could only benefit all involved and open up new doors.

I am sure you (David) get sick of everyone giving you "suggestions" of what you should do, and that's not really what this is. I guess this is more of a question as to if the thought has ever even crossed your mind, or if it is something that you just have zero interest at all in.

That is just the thing. Either side you are on loves to have "bragging" rights against the other. I was at the event this past weekend and I did have a great time but I think this is a great idea because I believe that it will bring even more people to the events. Like David has said, things went smooth with the class set-ups this year which they did and I believe there would not need to be a change with them for this event either.

We had a Import vs. Domestic Shootout here in Indy the weekend before. It's called Winged Warrior, and all the proceeds go to benefit Riley Hospital for Children.

i like this idea... i talk about this with my v8 buddies... me being a dsmer and them being muscle... they think an event like that would be kool. and there is an event somewhere... (forgive me i dont know where or when or the rules)...... but i thinks its called... fords vs. the world.. which has a similar point all ford vs. everything else..... i think import vs domestic would be awesome......if it ever happens count me in!!!
