    Default Totaled the new car

This is my post on another board which i put up yesterday.... I had built a new car which i was going to run in your quick class that had went 8.22 and 8.30 the only 2 passes this year peddling it at half track, im sure it would go 7s fairly easy when sorted, it only had 38 passes on it and never been on a dyno as we were slowly tuning it at the track as we got faster,

"For the last 8 years ive had a great time racing my street cat and my new car, BUT Yesterday, was one of the worst days of my life. I thought id go to Havana Il. for test and tune to help straighten out the chassis that has been leaving, well not perfect but not real bad either.

First short pass of the day i figured id go out 300 feet or so and then get out og it to see how it felt... When i left the line the boost was only at about 6 pounds and gradually going up to 15 befor spiking real quick to 32...

At this point the car spun the tires at about150 feet out going wildly back and forth, trying to save the car from hitting the wall.

At about 80-100mph the car when heads on into the wall, and BARREL ROLLED down the track, I think 3 times. I am very sore, lower middle and top of my back and neck. I literally cried half the way home from the track. I will in the near future decide what i will do next. I had a goal that i had not reached so i hate to sell out and give up but my wife may not give me an option".,Joe

Yes, very-very bad ass. It's a shame. I remember when I wrecked at E-town back in 2002, it sucks for sure.

Glad you are ok. Badass pinto, very sad to see beat up. But I have to ask if there are any engine bay pictures?
Do you own a EVO? No I do not. Then what the hell are you doing here!

So sorry to hear the bad news Joe, but I am thankful that you are okay. The car was truely a work of art and I feel your pain. Good luck with whatever direction you go from here.

WOW That was a bad MO FO Pinto, sorry to hear it was totaled, but the MAIN THING is YOU are OK.
It sucks when you put blood sweat time and money into a work of art and its gone in seconds.

American workers spend more of their day working to pay taxes than they do to feed, clothe, and house their families.
