Our stock EVO 7-9s come with a resistor pack and low impedance injectors. That works fine for most people… however, when you want to step up the horsepower and want the best injectors on the market it’s time to go to a high impedance injector. These newer style injectors have superior idle/cruise capability that allow you to run massive injectors on pump or e85.
For instance the Mellon Tuning 700+ awhp EVO runs FIC 2150cc injectors on the stock ecu and you wouldn’t be able to tell that they aren’t stock. The most common high impedance injectors we sell by far are the FIC 1100cc, 1680cc and 2150cc. But there’s a small hitch…you must disable the resistor pack on the firewall. We’re often asked about an easier way to disable the resistor pack without the need to know how to solder and now there's a solution.
For use when replacing OEM or aftermarket low impedance injectors with high impedance injectors such as the FIC 1100cc, 1680cc, 2150cc and other brand high impedance injectors. .
Here’s how it works: Simply unbolt the resistor box from the car’s firewall, and “unplug” it from the wiring harness. Once the resistor box is removed, just plug the FIC Resistor Pack Delete Plug in its place. That’s it!
If you don’t want to cut your resistor box harness, this is the perfect product. Plus, it easily allows the option to “plug” your resistor box back in if you choose to change your setup.
