    LAST YEARS FLYER!!

DATE IS SET FOR 2011... Plus where I've been lol

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok guys/gals, LOTS of changes at the track! Upper crust has been replaced, and they will be missed. We have prided ourselves for having this race on Mothers Day weekend (Saturday), because it was a close tie-in with Mothers, children, and the "Family" atmosphere.

This year however, we had to jump thru hoops, and duck punches like the rest on the 2011 Event calendar for 2011. In the end, our DATE HAS CHANGED!! It is now May 22nd! That is a SUNDAY, the day after Pole day at the Indy 500 track.

This is a good thing, I BET that the weather will be sunny and warm, and since it's a sunday, we can have the racers from all over the midwest converge on the Pole Day festivities on Saturday, to get the blood pumpin thru their veins for WWVII RACEDAY!!

I am of course involved with this event, but as scattered as my brain is, I have been too busy with my "New Hobby" to get down the the pen and paper area of this event. Dave and Greg are handling all that stuff, and they are awesome fine detail people. I look forward to the best WW Event yet!! Cannot wait.

For those who like to laugh, here is my new past time: Stand up Comic. Been doing it for about 4 months now, and love it! if you search "Dr. Butterfield" on you tube, you can see more. I also am putting together a "Laughter is their best medicine Comedy tour" to end on the day before WWVII. 20 tour stops in 10 weeks!! All around Indiana, would do some in Ohio and Michigan, if any of you can score me a theater with 300+ seats, I would GREATLY appreciate it!! I have nationally touring comics joining me as well. So there you have it! Welcome back guys!

I'd be mystified if I didn't see a 2011 5.0 twin turbo 'stang get backed off your trailer in May...

Till then, more lame attempts at laughs. LOL. I was comic #8 going up. And the previous 7 werent getting many laughs, and I was POSITIVE I would suffer the same fate. I started off slow, to reel them in, and finished strong!! Overall, this is the most exciting stuff I've done in a while. Got to keep practicing, to make it smoother.

Enjoy, or not. See you kids in May!!!

    No, the Bad Bish!

Can you answer some questions for me?

In the past we've been able to bring our trailers in and drop them at the drag strip over night. Can we do that this year and can we camp at the track overnight? Are the gates to the track locked at night or would we be able to come and go?

    OK stupid question time....

I just registered on the main page and see my name on the list now. Is there a fee to enter??

Also, what class would I be in??

Is there a schedule of how the event is going to go down?? Trying to figure out when I need to be there.

Class rules are in the forums Tim. I'd guess you will end up in the "A" class which is the top class under Top Gun. May be called something else now.

    There is a fee.

Now that Lucas Oil has purchased the track, we're no longer allowed to do tech the night before. I'm unsure as to whether or not they'll allow us to camp at the track like they did in the past. Some of the track workers live on-site (this may have changed, as well), and have complained about us riding/driving the 4-wheelers/dirt bikes/scooters/golf carts after closing time. They do lock the track at night, and there is no emergency exit. Once the gate is locked, you're in for the night.

There is a fee. As far as I know, it's $80, like last year. We dropped the price $20 from the original $100 last year due to the poor economy. You only pay if you're selected to race...and as far as I know, we're only allowing the first 120 people registered to race and not "picking teams" like in the past.

Knowing your car, you'll be in A class.

Schedule should be posted on the Winged Warrior forums. I believe everybody will need to be at the track at 8am at the latest, as we'll need to do tech the morning of, before the drivers meeting. Plan on being at the track from 8a-6p. If your class is done early (i.e. if your last event is car show, and you've already been judged), you can leave early. Most people like to stick around for awards, but some people choose to bounce as soon as they're done.

Stay tuned and watch the Winged Warrior forums for any news/information to be posted. My name on there is "Faster".

Dave got back to me on the WW forums. No overnight camping. That really sucks. I bought this new trailer to save money on hotels for these types of events. I guess I'll find the nearest Walmart and camp in their parking lot!

I know a bunch of people are staying at the Clarion out by the track.

Feel free to park on the North side in my complex. We have a designated boat/camper/trailer parking area...and a bar across the street. And easy access to 465. Plus, two pools, a hot tub, and plenty of hot single chicks.

I think the PA guys are crashing here, too. I know my buddy from Oklahoma is coming up with his 'stang and crashing here, as well.

You live by the Clarion? I'd rather stay close to the track, so that sounds good. I don't need the hot single chicks but I don't mind looking! haha I'm bringing my son, maybe he can sneak into the pool!

    Thanks!

My post was a bit confusing... I live on the North side of Indy. If you're coming down I69, my place is on the way. Clarion is about 5 mins from the track. I'm about 30 mins from the track...in a nice neighborhood where you don't have to worry about people messing with your stuff. Armed security patrol FTW!

Oh, and this is the final push, people!

Registration was slated to close this past Saturday. Our admin is on vacation and we don't know when he'll shut down the registration page. Get in while you can, as there will be no "walk-on" registrations this year. If you're not registered, you do NOT race.

I'm assuming this is the Clarion you are talking about.....
