Default Bought me a 2011 5.0 mustang GT

Well, after reading up on how bad ass these cars are, I had to get me one. I have had it about a month now and absolutely love it. It is a Gt premium with a 6 speed manual. So far I absolutely love the car. Took it to the local drag strip just how I bought it with the 235/50/18 all season tires with factory tire pressure still in them and managed a 12.85@110 after the second attempt(first attempt I forgot to turn the traction control off and it bogged going into 3rd) then I parked it. The first pass was on its way to a 12.7 but when the traction control kicked on, it nose dived. I am pretty confident that with some tire pressure changes and a little more seat time a 12.5-12.6 is very attainable. Here is a pic.

Good news! Mine is also in at the dealer. Expect a full ine up of Buschur Racing parts! We are going to run and dyno the car as soon as it's in my hands, then headers, exhaust, cold air and a tune. We are now SCT dealers, Whipple dealer too. Then when the basic NA build is done we are going to turbo charge it!

    Congrats on the car!

guys, in your opinion, is the Mustang Cobra GT500 worth the $53,000 MSRP from a performance standpoint, or is it better to get a V8 GT and mod that instead?

edit: i just re-read that question and it sounded stupid to me..... but what are your thoughts on the Cobra?

Thanks guys. I'm going to try again this weekend to squeeze a 12.6 out of her. Still bone stock. So glad you are building parts for them David. I am too skeptical to buy from these other companies that don't do any real testing on their parts. Be sure and have some good parts by the time I get my tax return.

I got mine for around $25,000 less than what they wanted for their gt500 which are around 550 horses. Whipple has a kit that puts the Gt at 625 horses fir less than $8k and KEEPS the factory warranty. 75 more horsepower than the gt500 and still have $18,000 less invested in the GT. No brainer.

I've bought two Mustangs now, both times I considered the GT500 and both times opted to not buy one. It's a lot of money, bad ass engine but still a lot of money.
