Well then I guess it's a learning lesson. Next year us racers need to pay closer attention to each others cars. Dave can't do it all, and we shouldn't expect him to have to. Out of respect, I guess I just always considered it to be an honor system and never even considered poking around other people's cars. It's more about that then being lazy. Mirrors, wipers, a headlight, that stuff is pretty minor really. I'm not a stickler for rules. But stuff like slicks or nitrous is far different. OK, next topic.

Dave said we would have a time with all cars in the lanes for peer tech with himself and some others available to settle disputes, I think that's as good as it gets, because, well, it's free.

Thanks for the dead horses picture! haha

Jimmy, I think every year for atleast the last 10 years someone has found something wrong with a competitors car and reported it. This year was no different. One of the cars in ESA was running Hoosiers DOT's. They are illegal in that class. Since the car was reported BEFORE the racing started he was able to just put himself into EE and compete there. Worked out great.

Self policing has worked fine over the years. I know that I have turned in guys with POWER related violations. But I usually had to find David. Other officials couldn't care less when I tried talking to them. So I can see Mark's point about diffculty of reporting.

As long as we have someone to turn to, if we can't find David, I see no problem with the current system.
