David, with the max effort including both drag and autoX, this is really leaning to a mini Wingwarrior event, any chance a car show event also gets thrown in there?

Sorry there is absolutely no chance for a car show, ever at the shootout. I still need to meet with the track but am thinking of two days at the track. The other thing I am considering is a road course or autocross event in the spring. This would be instead of the drag event.

I had a blast this year! Can't wait until next year. The car will be ready in a couple of months and I plan to run in the Max Effort class next year.

I'll look foward to hearing more about this for sure. We could definitly use more RR/TA/AutoX events involving the DSM/Evo platforms.

You said that so emphatically, is that because the idea is so absurd or that there isn't enough nice DSMs to have such an event? So instead of at your place you would hold the cruise in at Summit race way and the race itself?? One other question, why did you ever stop the SO race from taking place on Fri?? to hard for people to get there? I loved it that way, race Fri, car show/auto X sat, and beat the shit out of Hondas Sunday... ahh the good ol days.

There are plenty of nice cars. Judging a car show properly takes a lot of man power. I've never been a car show guy and from what I see most DSM/EVO guys aren't into that scene much either. Fridays, when we did it that way, the event was very-very small and we only got to use Lane 8 as part of their regular Friday night program. Sunday was the Summit Sport Compact Nationals, that type of event was only for 2 or 3 years max.

How's that, Rob? Online booking only goes up to 8/8/2011 so far. It'll be another week or so before it's available for online booking. lol

Also, posted the info on IndyStars.
