The new 918 Spyder makes over 700HP on "Race Hybrid" mode which uses the electric motors in the front hubs as well as the 500+ HP from the normal combustion engine. The car gets 80MPG on the highway! Of course, you can floor at and go all the way to 198MPH. I can't believe this thing revs higher than 9,000 RPM's either.

Absolutely mind-boggling.
