Awd ftw!
Recently I ran some of the best times i ever have in my car 10.2@137 with some goodies and help from STM. But much to my wallets disapointment my tcase decided it was time to go about a week before i went to the track. My handful of 10 sec passes were definatly the final nail in the coffin. After talking with a few people i took the Tcase off and sent it to Jon @ TRE so he could work his magic on it and get me back on the road. Before anyone asks working with Jon is great as he is quick and down to the point. Once the Tcase got to him he took it out of the box and thats when the bad news started. His exact phrase was "Did i shove a live grenade inside the tcase and then seal it up?" When i asked what the next step was he told me find a new one, this one is toast.
So i contacted ever vender on this forum, a bunch of people had ACD cases, no thanks id just break that, lots of GSR cases... again just gonna spend cash to kill something.... no need to do that. Finally i lucked out when mike@AWD returned my PM. Not only did he have a tcase in house he was trying to get rid of he would give it a full the same treatment he did to the one in the bastard evo that has been setting a few records of late.
After everything was paid for mike and his team got to work, even finding a set of output shafts as i had destroyed my old set driving the old GSR tcase longer then i should. I know im not the easiest person to work with sometimes as i always want to be kept in the loop especially with expensive parts that are out of state. But every time i called whoever answered the phone was always polite and put me on hold for a moment and answered my questions.
This is the great kind of customer service that keeps this business alive and well. So to mike thanks for everything and i got a few more parts once the show hits up here we are going to have to talk about...
i dont want a 9 second pass.. i just couldnt deal with that
