Default So, what is the performance potential of the turbo cars?

Just curious, how fast can you get one of these with just bolt-ons? I love the style, but stock they are a 15.2 car, not very inspiring. What does it take to get 12s out of one? Not dogging the car, as I really want to get one, I'd jsut like to know what I am up against, and if I should just get a new WRX instead.

    Thanks,

    Jason

What car are you referring to?

IMO, I think you would be better off with the WRX.

The Genesis from what I keep hearing has no tuning available and I haven't heard an update for a long ass time on how the car is progressing at Buschur's.

Evo is on the possible list as well. I'm kinda interested in the MR with the SST tranny.

    Thanks,

Vararam ram air intake setup, 80mm throttle body, 25% underdrive pulley, RPS Streetlite Carbon dual disc clutch, Magnaflow exhaust, Hurst shifter, Z06 sway bars, Z06 brake ducts, as well as some other small tweaks. I have long tube headers and a LS6 intake manifold that I need to install as well. As it sits, I think it's about a 12.5 car.

The problem with the Genesis Coupe is tuning, has been since day one and still is. The best thing the owners of those cars can hope for is open source coming out with a solution.

Are you guys still working on solving some of the tuning and part problems?

Thanks, it's a lot of fun. Not the fastest thing on the road, but fast enough for me. I always loved the C5s, and for the money, they are a great car.

I saw the piggyback that is out, is that any good, or just a band-aid?

The piggy back is crap. don't get it. Just wait a bit more time and someone is gonna come out with an openecu/source solution.

You can't throw a AEM EMS in these things and be done with it?

i wouldnt give up yet, one company has a gen coupe 2.0t with basic bolt ons, injectors and upgrades to the stock turbo tuned using poweraxel (which some say is good, some hate it) but the car went a 12.9 only pass. The big things holding this car back is the ECU and the Tiny stock turbo and injectors. once engine management is released i see quite a few of these running in the 12's which is fast enough for a DD for me since the gen coupe is such a nice looking car

The turbo performance brings you the best in forced induction technology. The Porsche 944 Turbo generally prefers Ferraris, although it has been known occasionally to snack on Corvettes.
