Default Additional dyno testing of the BR EVOX T3 turbo kit

Last Friday I put some more time in on the dyno to try and make a little more power and mostly work on seeing just how quick I could get the new turbo kit to make boost. I spent quite a few hours running the car and making changes to the MIVEC and the rest of the tune.

In the end I could not be happier with the results.

The engine is our Stage 3, stock compression, standard bore 2 liter engine. Stage 3 head with Cosworth MX1's. The car is being run on Shell 93 octane and nothing else. The turbo is a Blouch GT600R, which is a billet 62mm compressor wheel with a GT35r turbine wheel. I am using an .82 a/r turbine housing. The exhaust from the outlet of the turbine housing to the muffler where it transitions to twin 2.5" outlets.

I am also using our standard BR inline manual boost controller.

The spool up is utterly amazing and I attribute it to the header design and of course the tuning.

This is a short dyno pull from 3000-6000 rpm, 4th gear. As you will see I printed the hp/torque down one side of the sheet and the PSI on the right side. This combination reached 20 psi at a simply amazing 4059 rpm, that is from the sheet and the datalog.

This next sheet is the finished tune and the last 3rd gear pull I made. The pull was from 3000-7700 rpm. While the torque is not insanely high it is very flat and I can tell you this car pulls like a freight train on the road. Peak boost was 28.3 psi, peak power as you can see what 517 whp. The minimum psi during the pull was 3.8 psi at 3,000 rpm and by 4230 rpm the car already at 20 psi.

The car is ready for the track now and as soon as they open up, delayed now from being too wet, we are going to get it out and make some passes with it. I feel there's a mid 10 second pass in it at 130+ mph on just pump gas.

These turbo kits are finished, on the shelf and available for shipping.

Heat control.........it's a real tough job on the EVOX. We've added the full BR exclusive DEI downpipe blanket, T3 turbine housing blanket and now I've built a new SS shield for between the header and firewall insulation.

Here are some pictures of it. This will come standard with all the turbo kits, there is no increase in the kit pricing.

Mid 10's looks really doable now, are you shooting for high 9's still with an E85 tune and higher boost/timing?
