    Default CBRD BB-X - E85 - +83 whp peak!

We finally got some testing done on the new BBK (BB-X) for the Evo 10.

The "test" Evo is a customers car, has "normal" modifications and makes/made normal power for its level of modifications, if not a little less than normal power compared to other 10's we have had through the shop. For this reason I feel this was a good test car for the new BB-X turbo.

    2008 Evo 10 GSR

    Mods:

CBRD BB-X stock appearing turbo upgrade
    CBRD WGA
    T1R catback
    MilSpec 100 cell hiflow cat
    AMS downpipe
    AMS FMIC
    RRE UICP
    AEM intake
    DW 1000cc injectors
    BlaqOps progressive double pumper system
    Boomba Fuel Rail
    APS BOV
    GST 3 port boost solenoid
E85 fuel (91 tune coming next)

    +83 whp peak gains

    +100 whp gains up top!

    419 whp / 326 wtq

For a Evo, with these mods and a hiflow cat , these are pretty darn good numbers on E85 on our dyno.

This turbo can hold some serious boost. This tune was at 28psi across to 8,000 rpm. This turbo can easily run more boost as the highest WGDC used was 75% at 8,000 rpm. This car hit 100% IDC at 8k with the current injectors.

Hoping to get some more testing on some other Evo 10's here soon to get more data, so far this is looking to be a great stock appearing turbo upgrade!

    UPDATE on 91 oct:

    367 whp / 303 wtq @ 24.5 psi

Which is 67 whp peak more then it made on the stock turbo on 91 oct.

24.5 psi straight across to 8,000 rpm

Evo 8/9's on our dyno make around 350-370whp with the BBK Full, but with upgraded cams and a test pipe. So these numbers are excellent for a Evo 10 with stock cams and a HFC. This is also a tad "soft" Evo 10 compared to others.

    For reference:

    Stock 03/04 evo = 190-210whp

    Stock 05 evo = 210-215whp

    Stock 06 evo = 220-230whp

    Stock 08 evo = 215-230whp

    Stock 09 Ralliart = 190-199whp

Very nice! That's exceptional power on stock cams! Is he throwing cams in it next?

    Awesome job bryan!!!

Dumb question but what logging software is that your using for the boost plot?

How do the DW1000's compare with other 1000's?
When ya call out fake tuners ya get banned on the other sites, here ya can speak your mind and not worry about people crying to mods because its true. Highboost FTW

The boost plots are made from evoscan files in Excel. I do use DataLogLab for evoscan log visualization when I am tuning.

The DW1000's work great, I have had no issues with them and they tune out well. Probably installed and tuned 15-20 sets at this point I think.

David, I think he is thinking about it after seeing the gains on a Evo 10 MR that made 386whp on 91 oct. I posted about that Evo here: http://highboostforum.com/forum/show...-whp-on-91-oct
