AEM EMS Series 2 review and video

We just finished a big build here, Series 2 box. The car came out very good. Some stumbling blocks but most of it was from not having a killer finished base map to start from. Customer must be happy, he's had it a week and I haven't heard from him. I like the box, very happy with the results.

I'll second that Dave, we have completed a few "Series 2" tunes/builds. Some of the changes I like, some not so much (just have to get used to it I guess).

If you have a good working "Series 1", I don't see the point in upgrading. AEM would have to offer me some serious coin to trade one in.

I have a 30-1313U box, and just received the AEM Series2 today. I also am waiting on a Haltech Sport 1000, it's going to be a tough decision since I'm very familiar with AEM, but have tuned a few vehicles with the Haltech and have been very impressed.

Any updates David? As someone who is doing a new build, I have decided to go standalone. I am very picky of buying used electronic's, don't know why just always have been. So with buying a new ecu, with price not being an issue, would you recommend series 1 or series 2? I have read the thread and I understand every one has it's pro's and cons. But from what ive read, with the faster startup's to the mivec tables being set up correctly, it sounds as if the series 2 is overall better! Thanks again for anyone reading this.

S2 I guess, if it's an EVO8, Haltech Sport 1000.

It's for an evo 9. Will have your 2.3 ff hta 86 on e85. It was down at your shop last august. I know you have stated you don't like ecu controlled boost. Do you have any expeirence with the aem tru boost?

Yes, I have experience taking it off and putting our manual controller on!
