    Default 2010 Sportback Ralliart

Thinking of getting one of these (trading in my grand cherokee). Is there going to be any good aftermarket for the turbo cars with the SST? Trying to decide if it's worth it. Thought about a Forester XT 6 speed as well (want AWD turbo hatchback/wagon).

    Thanks,

There's already a healthy aftermarket for it. Buschur, AMS, etc, all carry parts for them.

Motor wise, it shares enough similarities that a lot of the mods are going to be very similar to the Evo X. Suspension wise, though, you're going to be limited to fewer options, as it shares the base Lancer's frame, and Evo parts won't work.

The stock turbo is a pretty weak little single scroll, but it takes aftermarket turbos well enough

Forester XT's are fun too, though.

Yeah, I've seen some bolt on stuff out there, curious about tuning. Biggest worry is the SST tranny. It would be a daily driver, so soft suspension really doesn't bother me.

How much power do you plan to get up to? The SST is a fantastical transmission, the biggest pain point is just "how much power can it take", and even that is being worked on. SSPPerformance, or whatever they're called, have clutch packs out for 400WHP; 500WHP ones are coming. And, frankly, that's just a buttload of power on a Ralliart.

Good to know. I probably wouildn't go crazy with it. Just want to make sure it's not going to be problematic with some simple mods.

I am running high 12's on pump gas in my Ralliart Sportback with high flow cat, cat back exhaust, cone filter intake, upper and lower IC pipes along with FMIC upgrade and BOV upgrade along with my own tune in the ECU (based on GST's baseflash) with no transmission issues so far. I figure with head work, cams, 16 x 8 lightweight rims with Nitto Drag Radials, fuel system and port work I should be looking at low 12's to high 11's on the stock turbo when running E-85 fuel and mid to low 12's on pump gas.

Now I just need to sell the old car parts in my garage to pay for the head work / installation I have already sold $1000 worth of old stuff and have probably another $1000 to go if I look real hard. Keeping in mind I am charging about half price for the stuff I am selling that is an amazing amount of wasted money I have had sitting there for years!
