What Next? Girlfriends Saaburu modest mod plans

I have done lots of work on Subaru's in my day, but never have I had to actually plan out the mod list. Just looking for opinions on what I may have missed. She just wants a basic setup, so the turbo will likely go untouched.

I suggest shifter mods, as subaru shifters feel like butt hole. SS and all bushings. I personally would do the grimspeed cocktail mix on the transmission as well.

Well looks like we did pretty well. Not going to do a full downpipe because she wants some stealth.

Nothing special. Just a Subaru in Sheep's clothing. She actually likes it better than her old EVO!

DO NOT GUT THE STOCK UP PIPE
just spend the money for something like the ERZ up pipe that has a flex section in it, if you gut out the cat you can never be really 100% everything is out, next thing you know a little peice of cat destroys the hot side of the turbo....

instead of buying pinks, just mod the stockers and have them flow tested WAY cheaper, and you can get 800+cc's out of them.

instead of the ebay TMIC, buy an X02 racing one, that is what I have, .2 psi pressure drop at 16 psi. great quality, well worth the money and way cheaper then a spearco or perrin.

do a bellmouth downpipe (one that lets the wastegate gas flow into the exhaust stream instead of hitting a wall of steel like the stocker does. For good power go catless or one high flow cat, but it will be a bit noisier...

turbo inlet hose and perrin "AFTA-MAF" hose are each a good mod.

look into doing some simple suspension bushings too, they help a ton!
steering rack bushings/ and whiteline rear diff lock bolts along with rear diff and rear out rigger bushings make a suprise difference in the feel of the car, alot better and all fairly simple to do if you ask me.



Also, these cars a fairly sensitive, I highly recomend tuning for the life of the engine, and the extra HP/TQ gains even on something as simple as a catback or intercooler, etc...

shifter mods ftw... nuff said.
for the trans fluid use subaru Extra S or Super S (cant remember which of the two they call it) or a mix of 3 qt's redline 75w90NS then topped off with redline Lighweight Shock proof.
for rear diff fluid I do 100% redline lighweight shock proof.

I would not get the dogbone unless she can deal with vibrations. I would go with the Group-N engine mounts. The dogbone is worse simply because it is directly connected to the firewall. everything else seems good. GET THE SHIFTER BUSHINGS!!! TurniInConcepts.com FTW
