Default 94170015 V5.10 SD to 96531706 and Logging air temps 100*s higher then before.

Well I made the swicth to get rid of the SD Jitter/Jutter that its know for in the low 2000 rpm range. Well I made the switch earlier today and drove the car around. It was a lil rich at idle but fine everywhere else. i just lower the RPM VE at my idle speed int he SD tuning to bring my idle AFRs back in check. Everything else looked great EXCEPT my logs show 190* MAT temps at idle when its 45 degrees out. On 9417 its usually around 80* at idle when the engines up to temp.

I figure thats theres a MUT addresse I must change in EVOSCAN to now log the correct value. Before it hold a 1-2* variation in temp at idle. Now its varying almost 10 degrees.

Does anyone know what i need to change to correctly log my MAT now from 9417 to 9653?

The car runs great now. With Big Map and the SD low RPM stutter gone. Id lose the ability log my MAT to not have the stutter and increased resolution in my MAPs.

    Thanks in advance.

I was just going over the rom some more. I just realised the MAT scaling and tables in the 96531706 that you download has different tables values then the stock patched 96530006 and the 96533706.

I just input the patch into the 96531706 as it appers it does not have it included??

Ill test tomorrow. I think I have it all figured out tho.

I believe the 96531706 tables are right for the GM IAT.

What MUT channel and scaling equation are you using?

Sorry I never updated. Its all good now. The logging patch isnt applied to 96531706. Everything is Fs and 3s and 2s. I looked at the ROM that MRfred posted for 96530006 all stock but patch and the 96533706. They are both the same.

I then applied the patch to the 96531706 and all is good again. I should have posted the resolution. But since It was fixed I kinda forgot about it. I probably shouldnt even call it 96531706 since I went back and changed alot of stuff in it LOL. Ill just call it 96530706 with SD etc.

Thanks for posting up! Thats what this forum needs to grow. This is gonna be the hardest forum to grow over here since the the EvoM ECUFlash forum is by far biggest section of valuable info. Everything else is 98 shit.

Thank you for all this information, please keep it coming. Don't get discouraged, the ECU section will grow, just takes time and input. Thank you!

I had actually asked this same question a few weeks back and mrfred set me straight.

The IAT logging patch doesn't need to be done on 96531706. You just need to change what MUT channel you use to log it. The stock IAT MUT channel becomes the new manifold air temp. Simply logging the IAT that is used with the MAF sensor works.

The MAT channel that has been added to evoscan with the other 96531706 stuff will not log without the patch being applied. As such, I just log the stock IAT channel and did not apply the patch.

^Is your AIT wired to the stock AIT pin or fuel temp pin?

Well atleast we know theres two ways to do it. I guess since PheNem did 96531706 and L2RGST did 96533706. That they just had different ideas of ways around the issue. I mean 96533706 does use the patch but not 96531706. all is well now.

Hopefully more people read this and it becomes more common knowledge. Thanks for trying to help, 03whitegsr.

Ah, I haven't really messed with 96533706. Good to know about the disparity.

So which is the best rom to use now? I have the 94170015 rom patched for SD, JDM MAP and AIT and once warm, the car runs great (except for the little jitter)

Problem I have no is the car will not start when it is cold out. Once the car was last flashed, it was already warm in the garage. I took it to work that night and it would not start when it was time to leave. Starts for maybe 3 seconds then just stalls. After throttling it a little to keep it running, I got the PO300 (which I never get) and it was running fine again, all the way home. Now, it will not start because it is cold unless I repeat the throttling again.

Is this a rom issue or probably tuning issue? If it is above 50 though, fires right up but it won't be 50 here for 5 more months anyway.

Once warmed up though, idle is dead set at 950, LTFT is -2 last time I logged it and cruising is flat out nice.

You'll need to tweak your cranking enrichment and post start tables.

This is one issue that it seems like a few people have encountered on the speed density patch.

As for which is better 96531706 vs 96533706, they really aren't even comparable.

96533706 has the livemap stuff applied to the 96531706 ROM. It's speed density PLUS a bunch mroe great features.

Be for warned though, the livemap stuff isn't real intuitive. Honestly, it's the next thing I'm going to tackle when I get a free minute. I just went 96531706 because I didn't want to deal with the live map stuff right now.
