I've been driving my car on speed density now for 4-5 months and after this initial walk-through, I haven't touched the tune *at all*. The car drives awesome, the noted fix works great (#2 IIRC), and I have been just having a blast with the car, how smooth it drives, idles, and accelerates in every every every situation. Speed density has made me fall in love with my evo all over again!

Original tune done by Shane @ DB Performance here in MN. When I converted to speed density I tried to get the AFR/boost/timing nearly identical to how it was then (I have wideband/IAT/MAP logging in teh car). When I returned to the dyno for a check-up, a few minor tweaks of the AFR and it was good to go! So its a colaboration between myself and shane at this point, but when it comes time to make power, he's the one I trust (he has the dyno afterall :P )

Full mod list and dyno numbers from last summer here:
    http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-dyn...-gas-alky.html

Since then I've added SD, SpoolinUp COP, MAP Rev2 Exhaust Manifold, and removed the MAF.

Haha, somehow iknew that would happen! I don't have a tendancy to go back and edit posts if I change my mind about something, and I doubt I will about this. The car is so much nicer to drive in every aspect I just can't say no.

Speed density is great,.realistically a lot simpler than Mass-Air, but terribly inflexible. After you radically change/improve VE of the engine, the speed density system goes "tilt" because the load/fuel mixture tables are chiseled in stone,..buried in the processor.
