Default 2008 Evo X Tuning Questions...

My Evo X MR keeps throwing up codes PO140 - o2 sensor rear no activity and P1320 - ignition timing insufficient

The stock sensor is still plugged in to the buschur test pipe.

David can chime in with any questions about the tune, as he tuned my car....

Anybody know why it's throwing these codes????

The 02 code is because you have a test pipe.

the 1320 can be from a couple different things. Do you know when it throws that code?

IDK if they will be close to figuring out how to disable the rear O2 sensors signal and heater circuits in the stock ECU anytime soon but you can always install an O2 sensor extension between the testpipe and the sensor to keep the tip of the sensor from being directly in the path of the exhaust gases. It usually does the trick and they are only $10 shipped usually.

Here is a LINK to one being sold on eBay.

I'm not sure if he has one of those in his exhaust or not, I can't remember. We sell them too. Looking at his ROM today I can't figure out why the light is coming on, from what I can tell it is off. Same settings as our EVOX and our light never comes on. I can't remember if we have the 02 extender in ours though either.

Thanks for the suggestions for him. I asked him to post up here because I am stumped. Jestr also tuned it and attempted to turn it off.

Instead of buying the Ebay one......

Go to Autozone and buy a pair of 18mm long and short "Spark Plug Non-Fouler." You can probably get away with just buying one and using both of them as described below instead of one long and one short.
    Brand: HELP!
Part Number: 42009 (short) and 42002 (long)
    Price: $3.50 for 42009 and $3.50 for 42002

Modify the short spark plug non-fouler (P/N 42009) to make the hole bigger in order for the oxygen's sensor tip to fit comfortable inside the spark plug non-fouler

Install your 02 sensors as followed:
O2 sensor, modified short fouler, long short fouler.

You are using two non-fouler to increase the distant between the exhaust fumes and the 02 sensors.

Yeah that works equally as well too. I've done that mod in the past and it works great but now I'm lazy enough to live with the harmless CEL until I get an extender in the mail so my lazy butt doesn't need to use my drill lol. Sad...I know.
