When will you be able to get your hands on the AEM series 2?
When ya call out fake tuners ya get banned on the other sites, here ya can speak your mind and not worry about people crying to mods because its true. Highboost FTW

thats crazy but there is just so much u can do to it right? like if it came down to setting up antilag just for the launch u couldnt do that u would need a standalone right?? and u cant really do two different maps on a stoc ecu too right like u couldnt do a pump and race gas map? but i rly like that rev on that haltech ur talking about thats crazyy!

Actually doing two maps on the stock ECU is easy, flip a switch to go back and forth between two maps. You can thank Tephra and Jack of Trades for those mods.

You don't need antilag, the factory two step in the stock ECU works great.

I stumbled onto this forum by looking at write ups on the FP black turbo and it was a great find. I just sold my first Haltech PS1000 to a local client that has a built Evo8. After reading this write up on the PS1K it gives me great confidence in tuning his car. Dave, thanks for the honest write up on the haltech, very refreshing. I am looking fwd to doing this tune soon and will post the results here and the trial and tribulations of it as well.

I have tuned several haltech units on other platforms and really like the interface of this system. Keep up the good work guys!

I'm switching over from AEM to the PS2000 here shortly. The more I'm learning about the Haltech more excited I am to get in there and get tuning. Thanks for the review Dave.

I've had the Haltech Sport 2000 for about 2 days on the car now. I find the car running a whole lot smoother, throttle transitions are crisp and responsive, revving out as Dave mentioned, like a bike. I'm completely fascinated by the Haltech unit and really looking forward to dialing in the boost portion of the map. I'll post more feedback.

Jorge just got mine dialed in on the Haltech and everything is really smooth. The idle is solid and the overall operation seems easier to drive. We are gonna hopefully get on the dyno tomorrow and fine tune the rest of the car. Im sure Jorge will chime in later and give the full details

    Great writeup Dave

We too have been sourcing a reliable simple ecu for our little sohc 1.8 colt turbo and spoke at length with haltech and seems there 1000 is great for our relative modding. The customer however has gutted the features from the car that it now warrants the 500 series. But we will build and post results whenever the loom gets here .
