    Default Br Evox, 11.71@124.01

Just got back from the track.

Took the EVO X out there just like I have been driving it. No changes made, no fuel changes, no tire/wheel change. The car is running on the stock wheels with Nitto 555's on it, NOT their drag radial.

The car just will not 60' very well and I'm not real sure why. The clutch may actually be slipping just a bit but it doesn't seem like that either. It doesn't spin, just won't come out hard. Our best 60' was a 1.841.

Here is a break down of the time slip:

    60'- 1.841
    1/8th mile-7.622
    1/8th mile mph-92.41
    1/4 mile-11.712
    1/4 mile mph-124.01

I think this should put the car as the fastest if not the quickest too on straight pump gas at full weight. I'm pretty happy with it.

The car is a good 60' away from really dropping some serious ET.

This is a very simple combination of parts.

BR Stages 1-3, Dominator 2 turbo, Cosworth cams and a BR tune.

Great run and congrats on what sounds like a new record for the X! Did you try shifting to 5th at all? It may kill it, or it may cut some time. who knows. Looking at your dyno sheet you have a ton of midrange torque so it should pull hard enough on the 5th gear shift to make it worth trying.

    Heavy car?

Coming from a former 3000GT/Stealth enthusiast, that scenario looks familiar.

Hey Dave doesn't the X have the same check ball in the clutch line as the VIII and IX did?? You guys prolly already removed it but maybe not
Just an idea why maybe you can't get a good 60ft or for it to come out hard.... Or i could be totally wrong...

We were discussing the clutch slave restrictor, we have not looked to see if there is one in there or not. It is worth a look though.

The Restrictor is in there to regulate fluid flow out of the slave cylinder. when you press the clutch pedal the spring allows the plate to be pushed out of the way allowing it to flow all fluid possible to the slave and releasing the clutch. When you release the clutch pedal and the fluid tries to leave the slave cylinder the spring pushes the plate back in the way of the flow... Only allowing fluid to pass through the small hole in the center of the plate. This slowing down the engagement of the clutch. With it removed There is nothing to slow the flow in either direction.

As for the reason of this being in there in the first place... Well.... I think its there to save drivetrain components for mitsu warranty. It allows the clutch to slip more on quick releases instead of sending extra shock into the drivetrain. Drivetrain components are covered under warranty "IF YOUR LUCKY" lol... But as for wear parts like a smoked clutch is on you and isn't covered under warranty.. In the end it saves mitsu. money..

I had the same setup basicall when I dragged my evo x(fully weight, stock clutch) with out cams and stuff and I ran a 11.79@ 117.5 with a 1.835 60' but I revved 4th only till 8k and shifted into 5th...
So thats why your trap speeds are so high!!!! Anyways nice pass
At the 1/8 only .019 sec faster then me but wow did your car move on top!!!
