    Default Some Sunday action shots..

    Didn't get as many keepers as I would have liked, but here are a few finalists..

    Knowing this was a faily small turnout event, I was trying lots of new stuff with my camera, some I liked, and some I didn't.

    I'll wait for feedback..

    Camera is a 40d with 70-200 f/2.8 IS lens. I didn't take take the lens off the camera all day, there wasn't much to shoot in the pits that warranted going back to the car to change lenses.

    I will be going through the pics (700 or so) and trying to salvage some more later this week.

    This would have turned out better, but I thought Jamie was coming to the left lane to run, so I had to shoot the pics with the track officials in the way...

    You did really well! It must be a Canon thing...

    I think I got my settings figured out this time around. The only time I ever shoot drag racing is for this event and for the shootout, as I pretty much shoot aviation every week, this is quite the different subject.

    I'm learning...I've had the SLR since last August (bought it for the shootout) and haven't had nearly enough time to play with it..

    I have 6800 shutter activations in that time, so I think I'm doing ok for that limited of shutter presses.

    Canon rocks. Your pics turned out nice too!
