    Default Camping at the track?

I'm driving out Saturday evening and planning to just sleep in the back of my FJ over night. What are the specifics on staying there? Can you just show up any time, cost anything, etc?

sometimes you cant get into the actual track. but, there is a large grassy field across the street from the staging lane end of the track. its always been free and you can show up any time. see you there, unless we get a room somewhere for cheap.

We have camped at the track for the last 3 years. Just show up and talk to the crew letting people in for Saturday night racing and ask when you can get in to camp there. Usually it is between 10-11 pm. We will have about 10 cars with us camping.

Yeah why pay for a hotel when you have a perfectly good front seat. Plus there is no alarm clock quite like an Evo stutter box and E85 smells better in than morning than folgers.

lol sleeping in a dsm/evo really isn't the best nights sleep you'll have but once you get up its ok i guess little sore but that's it...better to sleep in a dsm than an evo since the seats are lower....i slept in my brother evo and it was hell...so if the weather is nice just throw a sleeping bag on the ground ...I assume you'll be doing this for the shootout as well?

Yes sir. As far as I know we are. Gotta say though 1G seats are mighty comfortable, just throw down a sleeping bag and it as good as a sleep number bed. That may be taking some liberties but its better than the asphalt.

After the thefts last year and the fact that I had to pay the track for the stolen items, there is NO camping allowed inside the track. There is a campgrounds at the track that will be available......I have to pay for security for that now because of last year.

Just as a reminder, to the assholes who stole the banners at the Shootout, I hope something horrible happens to you.
