    Cool Gauge mounting pics.

Here is my boost guage and wideband setup mocked up in the car. I have to figure out how to remove the trim pieces to drill and run the wires (any tips?)

This will do until there is a nice pillar mount available. I actually like it how it is but easier to read on the pillar.

If anyone actually likes this setup, the pod is a $17 part from Summit. part# SUM-G2878. Fits tight in the space so no need to drill mounting screws and no tape needed. Just fits nice and snug with no trimming. Had to hog it out a bit for the monster boost gauge though.

PS: I dont like the ricey look of the fake CF so i am going to paint it texture finish charcoal gray to match the dash. This is a photoshop.

I do like how that looks but I have a question.... why did you get a liquid filled boost gauge? Why not a mechanical 30-0-30 that reads Vacuum & Boost?

Honestly, i didnt realize it was liquid filled when i bought it. It looks a bit ghetto with the water line at the top, but it seems accurate to the datalogging software (PCMscan). Max boost on the guage showed 23psi and the PCMscan showed 22.98 so it's dead on. Is there really any use to see vaccum?

They say the best compliment is to blatantly copy someone, so, Ray, here is my compliment to you

My lighting sucks, but the thing looks damn decent for the cost; 18 bucks. Holy hell.

It's carbon fiber-looking, but it doesn't match the Evo's normal interior, so, yeah, painting wouldn't be a bad idea.

Just need a second gauge now. To me, the AFR isn't something I (hopefully) want to be watching constantly, so it made sense to have it down there. Boost gauges I enjoy watching, so probably won't put it down there, hehe.

There is no NEED for all those gauges honestly. Boost and at very most a wideband is whats NEEDED.

With the cables and stuff all over the dash... ehh.... not for me. Definitely doesnt look "practical". Sorry.

oil pressure, boost and wideband i agree with, having the gauges down below so you cannot see them i feel is not practical.. but i do not own an evo x so i really do not know how bad visually it is.. by the pics it looks rough.. im all for the gauges being on the dash like that... .2
