You know, drifting is "cool" and all, but I still don't get it. I want the most traction possible, they want to waste tires and drive sideways. To each their own though, it would take immense amounts of skill to drive that fast sideways without killing one's self but I think I would get bored with it after a while. There is only so much you can do when drifting... look, I'm sliding left, now, I'm sliding right, LOOK left again! Drag racing/autocross/track days at least gives you goals to strive for, more power, better times. etc.

IDK, maybe big smoky burnouts aren't my cup of tea unless the smoke is coming off of the front AND rear tires LOL.

Ken block is the man, but gymkhana is not exactly the same as drifting. Drifting is all about"points" and "style" which is subjective, Gymkhana is more akin to time attack racing, find the fastest possible way around the track at the expense of everything.. tires, brakes, engine, if you get the fastest lap and blow up .02 seconds later it doesn't matter.
