    Default Winged Warrior 5 05/09/2009

Well guys, I guess it's time to finally announce the date of WWV.

The event will pretty much be the same as last year, except we've got bigger hands in the cookie jar for this event. Expect this to be the smoothest run WW event thus far. We've actually got a game plan this time. (imagine that! lol)

For those of you on Facebook, feel free to add your name to the attending list for this event: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/ev...9519430&ref=mf

We should have our WW MySpace up shortly, so stay tuned for that post.

Jarrod, Jeff, Trent: I know I talked to you guys @ the Shootout last year about a different layout that was a change from years past, but this year, we've decided to keep things on regular WW schedule so far. As far as the extra-curricular activities that I was talking about; stay tuned. They might still happen.

    Thanks,
    Mike Gill

We're currently working on a new registration program, and revising the rules.

Last year, we used http://www.motorsportsreg.com for registration, and they over promised and under delivered. We ended up having to have people re-register after finding all the kinks the first time, and even then, it still didn't work the way they said it would. We're building our own registration program to use through our site, instead of a 3rd party.

We're also working on an algorithm to plug into Microsoft Excel so it will automatically tabulate 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of each class for all the different trophies. This should eliminate the 1.5 hour delay between the end of the event and the awards ceremony, which I know a lot of people were unhappy with. With this new algorithm, we should have a printout of the final results within about 15 minutes of the last run group.

You guys know you'll be one of the first forums I post the link on.

I figured you would have posted a picture of Charlie Eppes from the TV show "Numb3rs".

For those of you who watch the show, the kids at CalTech take shots every time the word "algorithm" is used on the show. CalTech is the school that Numb3rs spoofs. Numb3rs calls it "CalSci".

How's that for some TV trivia for ya?

Or listen to him about global warming....or I mean ..............................climate change.....cause this man does not have a clue!

Lots of Evo's, Subaru's, and Chevy's so far.

I'm waiting to see the Supra's, RX7's, 240's, and Loti sign up.

We also need more 1g/2g lovin'. So far, Lonnie is the only 1g, and Pauly is the only 2g.

That all depends on if you want to drive to Indy to support the kids at Riley, or if you'd rather drive to Ohio to make the SC Shootout larger. No pressure, or guilt trip there. lol

Seriously, though... I've never been to the SC Shootout, so I can't tell you anything about it. What I can tell you is that at Winged Warrior, it's always a great day, and a great turnout of great people. At the end of the day, whether we won or lost, we still were able to bring smiles to the kids faces at Riley...

I like the program just as it was. I see no reasons to change it.

I signed up on your facebook. Send me a friend request on there, please.

Make sure you put me on the list of cars!! I can't wait.

There shouldn't be any changes this year...at least as far as I know there's not. We like it how it is, as well. It will run a lot smoother this year because I'll be there at 6a instead of 1p. lol

You're a silly goose, we're already friends on facebook.

The list of registered cars on the WW site should be updated tomorrow.
