Default 20g-9-LT VS BR GT35R turbo kit.

So, we are releasing a new turbo very soon. We will be calling it the 20g-9-LT. The LT stands for Large Turbine. It is a bolt on stock appearing turbo that I am extremely impressed with.

With the 20g-9-5 I was able to run 11.11 at 124 with my RS, this was with Kevin Lawson driving.

I updated to the LT version and the car has now run multiple 10 second passes with the best being a 10.89 at 128 mph. Very fast spooling, uses the stock manifold, 02 housing, oil and water lines. Very stealth. Car put down 450 whp/450 ft lbs at 34 psi of boost on C16.

I recently switched my RS over to our GT35R kit and here is the dyno sheet comparing the two turbos to each other.

The LT is much faster spooling and more fun to drive but you can't argue with 120 whp increase in power either!

    Enjoy.

Nice! Do you have any graphs comparing your car with the 20g-9-5 and the 20g-9-LT?

+1 ...... I just keep getting the feeling that the 20G just isn't gonna keep most people happy very long. The 3065 or 3071 is probably the hot ticket.

How about a 20G-9-LT vs 3071 as well?

Well, I made another trip up to Buschur on Monday to have Dave re-tune my race gas map and tune the pump map for higher boost. I was very please with the results. The only changes made I made to the car from last time was taking off the HKS DLI and putting on the Sun system.

I will post the before and after sheets.

    Before on pump/alky:

I'd post my newer 20G-9 #'s but I was still learning to tune so tq is way down. It made 305hp on pump and 330hp on 97oct with my noober tuning. I'd say with the alky and better tuning I'm close to 350.

I'm starting to want more haha.. The LT looks nice but I think I'm going to take the plung (t67).

Good thread but half the images are broken. I need to talk to Jarrod and set him up an account on my photo gallery.. no bs (moving/deleting images).

Default Stages 1-4, C16, Green turbo, ported intake/tb-stk head/stk sb

Nice, record for a Green other than my own personal car. Car made 420/435 on pump and alky at 30 psi. This graph is on C16 at 33 psi.

Bobby owns the car, he ran 11.2 at 124 last year on the 20g-9-5. Should be in the 10's this year.

I saw that chart on EVOM. F'n sexy if you ask me. I think he was making around 360whp with the 20G-9-5 and a flash... I need to get AEM EMS and have you do your magic.

Default Another 600 whp BR EVO

Yes folks, just finished another car this morning. This car belongs to Memo out of the DC area. Just a gorgeous EVO. Here are some shots of the exterior (which is a little dirty) and the engine bay, which is just HOT HOT HOT!!

Then for the good stuff. The car made 471 whp and 346 ft lbs on straight pump gas. The gas was 93 octane and is fairly old. I dyno'd the car at 25 psi on the straight pump gas, no alky injection. Check out this pump gas dyno sheet:

It was then time to turn it up a little. So we dumped in some C16 and made a little power. 601 whp and 492 ft lbs of torque!

The run down on the car:

BR Stage 3 stroker shortblock (which is why the torque is so good)
    BR Stage 3 head
    BR-BF272 cams
    BR race FMIC
    BR coil on plug ignition
    AEM EMS
    Bushwacker trans
BR 2.5" upper and lower I/C pipes
    BR ported stock intake manifold
    BR 65 mm throttle body
    BR lightweight battery kit
BR 3" turbo back with Bullet muffler AND Magnaflow muffler-gotta be quiet at 600 whp!
BR67-Ptrim turbo kit with header, all ceramic coated
    BR double pumper fuel system
    1,000 cc injectors

    I think that's about it.

    Enjoy.

    Default Trent's car......pump gas.

As some of you are following, we just finished up Trent's car (our welder here) last Saturday. We went out for some road tuning after we fired it up and dialed the car in on the street.

Today after we finished Memo's car Trent wanted to throw it up on the dyno quick just to see what it would make the way we tuned it on the street.

The boost today peaked at 23.1 psi. The car has a full tank of generic 93 octane fuel.

Very good power, the car pulls like mad up top. Check it out:

Quick run down on this car:

    BR 2 liter Stage 3
    BR Stage 3 head
    BR BF272 cams
    Single standard Walbro
    1000 cc injectors
BR 3" turboback exhaust with 2 lightweight BR race mufflers
    HKS Twin power ignition
BR 2.5" upper and lower i/c pipes
    BR lightweight battery kit
    BR Race FMIC
    BR GT35R header turbo kit
    BR manual boost controller
    AEM EMS
    BR ported stock intake manifold
    BR 65mm throttle body

Once we put this car on C16 the power will go over 600 whp. He's just enjoying it now and when the time comes we'll put some boost to it. I'd expect to see this car run in the 9's this year. Trent drove my RS to the 9.97 last year, now he can do it in his own car!

I was going to run the car a little leaner and up the boost to 25 on the pump gas just to see it make 470'ish but it's the middle of the day and I had some other projects and Trent has a long list of orders to weld up. Another day for that. I think 450 whp on pump is good enough for a daily driver

BTW, Trent does drive this car 120 miles round trip to work each day.

    Very nice graphs dave.

Question: Any particular reason why the power gain tapers off so its not so steep at around 5500 rpm on all the graphs?

Speaking of Trent driving his car 125 miles a day, I think i see him driving down route 224 in the mornings when i go to canton everyday. He always heading west about 6:30.a.m..

Maybe it ain't him, maybe it is....? Is his car silver?

    Yes, Trent's car is silver.

The power starting to level out at 7500, not sure what type of explanation you are looking for. It isn't going to climb forever.

I can only guess hes talking about the slight change in increase from about 5k to 6.2k, its not quite as sharp. though I think its still making a huge amount of power.
