LAST YEARS FLYER!!

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/smokedmustang/flyer_front_web.jpg

DATE IS SET FOR 2011... Plus where I've been lol

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok guys/gals, LOTS of changes at the track! Upper crust has been replaced, and they will be missed. We have prided ourselves for having this race on Mothers Day weekend (Saturday), because it was a close tie-in with Mothers, children, and the "Family" atmosphere.

This year however, we had to jump thru hoops, and duck punches like the rest on the 2011 Event calendar for 2011. In the end, our DATE HAS CHANGED!! It is now May 22nd! That is a SUNDAY, the day after Pole day at the Indy 500 track.

This is a good thing, I BET that the weather will be sunny and warm, and since it's a sunday, we can have the racers from all over the midwest converge on the Pole Day festivities on Saturday, to get the blood pumpin thru their veins for WWVII RACEDAY!!

I am of course involved with this event, but as scattered as my brain is, I have been too busy with my "New Hobby" to get down the the pen and paper area of this event. Dave and Greg are handling all that stuff, and they are awesome fine detail people. I look forward to the best WW Event yet!! Cannot wait.

For those who like to laugh, here is my new past time: Stand up Comic. Been doing it for about 4 months now, and love it! if you search "Dr. Butterfield" on you tube, you can see more. I also am putting together a "Laughter is their best medicine Comedy tour" to end on the day before WWVII. 20 tour stops in 10 weeks!! All around Indiana, would do some in Ohio and Michigan, if any of you can score me a theater with 300+ seats, I would GREATLY appreciate it!! I have nationally touring comics joining me as well. So there you have it! Welcome back guys!

Find me on the WW website, or on facebook with questions.

I've been busy with my new hobby, so WARNING! Some stuff may NOT Be safe for work? naaah, go ahead and blare it out! lol

Till then, more lame attempts at laughs. LOL. I was comic #8 going up. And the previous 7 werent getting many laughs, and I was POSITIVE I would suffer the same fate. I started off slow, to reel them in, and finished strong!! Overall, this is the most exciting stuff I've done in a while. Got to keep practicing, to make it smoother.

Enjoy, or not. See you kids in May!!!

No, the Bad Bish!

Can you answer some questions for me?

In the past we've been able to bring our trailers in and drop them at the drag strip over night. Can we do that this year and can we camp at the track overnight? Are the gates to the track locked at night or would we be able to come and go?

OK stupid question time....

I just registered on the main page and see my name on the list now. Is there a fee to enter??

Also, what class would I be in??

Is there a schedule of how the event is going to go down?? Trying to figure out when I need to be there.

David Buschur

Class rules are in the forums Tim. I'd guess you will end up in the "A" class which is the top class under Top Gun. May be called something else now.

There is a fee.

Now that Lucas Oil has purchased the track, we're no longer allowed to do tech the night before. I'm unsure as to whether or not they'll allow us to camp at the track like they did in the past. Some of the track workers live on-site (this may have changed, as well), and have complained about us riding/driving the 4-wheelers/dirt bikes/scooters/golf carts after closing time. They do lock the track at night, and there is no emergency exit. Once the gate is locked, you're in for the night.

There is a fee. As far as I know, it's $80, like last year. We dropped the price $20 from the original $100 last year due to the poor economy. You only pay if you're selected to race...and as far as I know, we're only allowing the first 120 people registered to race and not "picking teams" like in the past.

Knowing your car, you'll be in A class. ;)

Schedule should be posted on the Winged Warrior forums. I believe everybody will need to be at the track at 8am at the latest, as we'll need to do tech the morning of, before the drivers meeting. Plan on being at the track from 8a-6p. If your class is done early (i.e. if your last event is car show, and you've already been judged), you can leave early. Most people like to stick around for awards, but some people choose to bounce as soon as they're done.

Stay tuned and watch the Winged Warrior forums for any news/information to be posted. My name on there is "Faster".

Dave got back to me on the WW forums. No overnight camping. That really sucks. I bought this new trailer to save money on hotels for these types of events. I guess I'll find the nearest Walmart and camp in their parking lot!

I know a bunch of people are staying at the Clarion out by the track.

Feel free to park on the North side in my complex. We have a designated boat/camper/trailer parking area...and a bar across the street. And easy access to 465. Plus, two pools, a hot tub, and plenty of hot single chicks. :)

I think the PA guys are crashing here, too. I know my buddy from Oklahoma is coming up with his 'stang and crashing here, as well.

David Buschur
04-12-2011, 11:35 AM
You live by the Clarion? I'd rather stay close to the track, so that sounds good. I don't need the hot single chicks but I don't mind looking! haha I'm bringing my son, maybe he can sneak into the pool!

Thanks!

My post was a bit confusing... I live on the North side of Indy. If you're coming down I69, my place is on the way. Clarion is about 5 mins from the track. I'm about 30 mins from the track...in a nice neighborhood where you don't have to worry about people messing with your stuff. Armed security patrol FTW!

Oh, and this is the final push, people!

Registration was slated to close this past Saturday. Our admin is on vacation and we don't know when he'll shut down the registration page. Get in while you can, as there will be no "walk-on" registrations this year. If you're not registered, you do NOT race.

SloRice

I'm assuming this is the Clarion you are talking about.....

So when are we supposed to pay?? Day of the race??

Spoolin0nYou

Nobody tells me anything right now... I don't know anything at this point. As far as I know, just pay the day of the race.

[/SIZE] As my mind won't quit, here is something we are doing for you all on the night before the race. WWVII is SUNDAY May 22nd! Our new "official Hotel" where alot of the out of town racers will be staying is: Clarion Hotel 2930 Waterford pky. Indy 317-299-8400.(5 Miles from ORP) So I have put together a 2 hour comedy venue IN THE HOTEL, As a "Thank for coming out and supporting the kids"! I will do my stuff probably, followed by 5/6 or 7 National touring comics! Some comics I am sure you heard of on the radio, or seen on HBO, TV, etc... So if we all meet at the hotel theater for 2 hrs of fun, SATURDAY MAY 21st, that would be cool! I may have to put in 2 shows, as the seating is limited to 130. So maybe make one show just to you guys?? Not sure, but I will post the list of who will be performing, but I can guarentee, it is going to be one hell of a show!!
P.S. If you ALREADY HAVE A RESERVATION AT THIS HOTEL, CALL THEM!!! They will give you credit for our WWVII "Group rate".

I'm gonna try and make the comedy show. Other than foul language, I don't care, is there any reason my 13 year old son can't watch the comedy show?

Spoolin0nYou

Foul language is the key to Kevin's acts! If he didn't cuss, he'd have no material! :)

smokedmustang
05-02-2011, 02:21 AM
No, I can clean mine up for sure! Bring your son. There will be NO F Bombs, or other words that harsh. Hope you make it Dave.

Here is the flyer to pass out! Help us pack the track!! Download, copy, email, whatever you can, to help us get the word out. Thanks! See you guys/gals soon!!

We will probably need 2 shows, one starting at 8, the night shift at 10. Will have that finalized in a couple days.

David Buschur
05-02-2011, 10:46 AM
Hold on, I said I don't care about cussing and adult material. I am asking is there an age limit to let kids in? Like is it a bar that won't allow anyone under 21 in? He here's me all the time, the swearing is NOT an issue or anything else you can possibly come up with! haha

SloRice
05-02-2011, 01:04 PM
Based on Kevin's comments on FB.....it looks like its in the hotel's conference center, so I'd say no age limit there.

smokedmustang
05-04-2011, 06:47 AM
You are correct Slorice, it is in the hotel where most are staying, and there isn't an age limit. And we will make sure we aren't too graphic, or too heavy on the cussing.

The WWVII Media Shootout car is FINISHED!! Now just has to get to Riley Hospital for Children, so they can "sign off" on it, and get their final blessing.

This is the entertainment for the evening the night before WWVII at the Clarion Waterfront Hotel, which is our "Official" Hotel. I am bringing this to you, so you don't have to go out and find something to do before the race. Come on down to the theater, watch some funny comedy, and seasoned comedians make you laugh your ass off! I will be the host, and my first time doing that, so that's gonna be PRICELESS in itself! lol

I will be the MC, and do my part to make you laugh, but the real treat is watching the rest of the comics work their craft. I know all the comics and they make me laugh every time I see them. Matt Holt is the Headliner, and he is a Cracker regular. I'm sure if his Paycheck matched his Billy Joel looks, he wouldn't look so sad in this photo. lol.

The seats will fill up fast, so let me know if you are in, and how many seats, and to which show you want, as we are setting up the paypal, and the ticketing aspect of it. This is all new to me, and you kids know how I am, so hang tough till I get all that figured out.

This is also another way to give back to the kids at Riley Hospital for Children, and the cheer guild, because we will be giving back a portion of proceeds to the Cheer Guild on Raceday. It is money well spend, especially when a lineup like this is bought to you.

Flyer up soon, help me pass them around if you will, and for those who cant get in because it sells out, we still have chairs left to stuff in the aisles? Again, more soon.

Ryan Niemiller

Despite being born with a disability in both arms, Ryan Niemiller, the self-proclaimed "Cripple Threat of Comedy" shares his views of the world from the perspective of the handicapped. Ryan began his comedy career in Los Angeles, California, and hasn't looked back since, performing in clubs and colleges across the country. Covering topics such as dating, trying to find employment, and attempting to find acceptance in a world not designed for him, Ryan tackles the issues in a way that makes you think while laughing the entire time. With his quick wit, great timing, and a gimmick that only he can exploit, Ryan hopes to prove to the comedy world that he may be unarmed, but he is dangerous.

Courtnee Kay Meyers:

Courtney Kay Meyers

CKM, as she calls herself is endearing, entertaining, hilarious, and most importantly, an all around amazing person. The volunteer at the soup kitchen she frequents compares her to Carol Burnett. She is her mother's 3rd favorite comedian of all time.

Matt Holt:

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/smokedmustang/comedyholt.jpg

The Headliner: Matt Holt

Matt Holt is the youngest of eight kids. No, his family is not Catholic. They do drink, swear and gamble…they just don't believe in repenting for it!

The story of his life begins with the good fortune of being raised by humorous parents and being surrounded with a wonderful cast of misfits, felons and fugitives who just happen to be related to him. Who could ask for more?

The next chapter of Matt's life sees him working for a major telecommunications company. He survived fifteen years in Corporate America before throwing his hands up to surrender.

Some people are bad with remembering people’s names or with fractions, Matt is bad with marriages and relationships. At a young age, in need of various small appliances and an assortment of picture frames, Matt entered into the blissful institution of marriage.

The bliss lasted for a few months, the marriage lasted nine years. It ended with the division of everything he owned and the addition of a beautiful daughter.

Since the first marriage went so well, Matt figured; “Why not give it another shot?”. STRIKE TWO! This time around, the marriage train lasted 5 years before it pulled into the station. Now, with what would appear to be one quarter of the possessions he once owned, Matt embarks on the next step in his quest for relationship happiness.

The scars, shadows and memories of his past have not been forgotten. It is from this grounded but chaotic life history that Matt has developed and honed his comedic sensibility. He bases his humor on these experiences and never misses an opportunity to laugh at himself and the world around him. Audiences appreciate Matt's quick, razor-sharp wit and his relaxed style.

Could add comics to line up as we get closer to show but the ones here are good for a solid 1 1/2 hours of side bustin humor.
