View Full Version : Amped Up For The Shootout

So I'm pretty amped up for the Shootout. This car is the clone to my old race car that I had for 8 years but crashed last summer. It has 42K miles, and originally a Virginia car. I bought it stock last August after I crashed my car. I still can't believe I found it, wierd. I spent all winter building it from the ground up. For those who care to see the build up, join www.NEDSM.org . I'm too lazy to copy and post all of those. ;) Anyhow...

I'm about as excited for this coming Shootout as I have ever been before. Unfortunately I missed it last year, and it was washed out the previous year. Though I have some amazing memories from the year of the washout but I won't go into that. I am extremely dissapointed to that that some of you will not be attending the true DSM Shootout, but I do understand. I will be doing an extra thousand miles of driving to be in Ohio as apposed to my other option. I think it's worth it.

So I finally got around to washing and waxing my car today. Here are all the shots I took. It's nice to be out driving it around finally without any headaches. I've almost got all the kinks worked out. The car is pretty straight forward.

FP30RHTA Turbo, FP Intake, FP Exhaust Manifold, FP o2 Housing, Buschur 3" SS Mandrel Bent Exhaust w/ Resonator, Buschurs Garrett FMIC Race Core, ETS IC Piping w/ Tial BOV, Hawver Cast Intake Manifold, Edgar Rebuilt Cylinder Head, Original 42K Mile Bottom End, ARP Head Studs, Shep Stage "Jimmy Read" Transmission, ACT 2600 w/ Street Disk & ACT Flywheel, Mishumoto Aluminum Radiator, NGK Wires, Rota Slipstream Rims w/ Sumitomo HTRZ's, Porterfield Pads w/ Powerslot Rotors, Aeromotive FPR, FIC 1050 Injectors, ECMLink V3, Supra Intank Fuel Pump, Hallman In Car MBC, 4 Bolt Rear End, Autometer Gauges, PLX WB02, Fiberglass hood.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things, but that's the jist of it. Hopefully some of you guys will be joining us for the Shootout in Ohio. Thanks for looking.

Very nice, that car is super clean. You don't see too many super nice DSM's anymore and it's sure nice to see YOU have one of them!

I'm looking forward to the shootout too!

Wow! Nice car. If memory serves, I think that car's cleaner than your last one. Congrat's on finding such a low mileage example. You're lucky to have found such a nice one. Again, great work and can't wait to see you at the Shootout with it. Should be a good time as always.

Not sure how I missed this thread.

Jimmy that thing is freaking GORGEOUS! I wish I could find a good deal on a clean one like that. I wouldnt mind having one with a basic simple 20G setup.

VERRRRRRY few left in that condition. Its a shame.

Hey thanks a lot. It's much appreciated. I still can't believe I found a car like this to work with. I've got the car dialed in on pump gas at 27PSI. It just feels awesome. I'm counting down the days until the Shootout!
